Dr. Dummer accepted the position as chairperson of the Social Science/Behavior/Education Institutional Review Board (SIRB) in May 2009. She is retired as professor in the Department of Kinesiology where her teaching, outreach, and research involved physical activity and sports for persons with disabilities. Dr. Dummer earned Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis.

Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics and Human Development, Dr. Kumar moved to Michigan State University in 1983. Besides providing patient care as an infectious disease consultant for the mid-Michigan area, he has served as the director of pediatric education programs for the College of Human medicine in East Lansing and affiliated communities for over two decades. He has published more than one hundred research papers, review articles and book chapters in the areas of infectious diseases, pediatrics and medical education. Besides serving on several College and University Committees, he served as a member on University Committee on Research involving Human Subjects (UCRIHS)  from 1987- 2000, and as Chair of UCRIHS from 2000-2003. Dr. Kumar received several teaching awards from students and pediatric residents including the Ray Helfer Award. He was also awarded a distinguished alumnus award by his alumni association.
