The
agenda for the 2006 Fall

includes a plenary morning session and afternoon breakout sessions. During the morning plenary session,
keynote speaker Bernard Schwetz, DVM, PhD, Director of the federal
Office for Human Research
Protections, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will give his
presentation. In the afternoon, participants will have a choice of breakout
sessions to attend. The sessions
will include “IRB Basics 1” and “IRB Basics 2” designed especially for new IRB
members. Other tentative sessions include electronic data storage and security,
research and internet privacy, and using the internet to collect data. Finalized
breakout session descriptions will be posted to the human research web site, www.humanresearch.msu.edu, shortly,
along with the conference agenda.
