Welcome to Michigan State University's Human Research Protection Program
Are you a subject in a research study? Do you have questions about your rights as a study subject? Do you want to give suggestions or information to MSU about research on you, your family, or your friends?
At Michigan State University, an Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews all research studies that involve human subjects before the research can be started. These IRBs are part of the MSU Human Research Protection Program.
Provided below are links to additional information and relevant websites:
If you have any concerns or complaints about a specific research study done by MSU researchers, or would like to offer input or suggestions about the human research protection program, please contact the director of MSU's Human Research Protection Program, Judy McMillan at 517-432-4502 or send an email to irb@msu.edu.
You may also submit comments using our online feedback form, available here.
If you would like more information about human subject research protections or want someone from the MSU Office of Regulatory Affairs to give a presentation to your group, please call Kristen Burt, Educational Program Coordinator at 517-884-6020 or send an email to IRBEducation@ora.msu.edu.
